Send content to your TikTok inbox
TikTok access is limited to designated test accounts while production access is being prepared. PostStride currently uses inbox delivery. Workspace access is by invitation; contact support@poststride.app for access and questions.
1. Connect the destination you control
Sign into your PostStride workspace and open Accounts. Choose Connect beside TikTok, review TikTok’s requested permissions, and authorize the account you want to use. After returning to PostStride, check the account name and @username.
Connecting TikTok lets PostStride identify your profile and send your selected media to its inbox. Your PostStride login and your TikTok authorization are separate steps. Never send your TikTok password to PostStride support.
2. Prepare and review your media
Open New post and select your TikTok destination. Use Add media to choose an original video or photos you have permission to share. Wait for upload to finish, then review the preview and account name. The page shows any media validation problems before submission.
For inbox videos, TikTok does not receive the caption written in PostStride. Keep your caption with the PostStride record and add it in the TikTok app before you publish.
3. Choose when to send it
Choose Post now for immediate delivery, or Schedule and a future date/time. Review your selected destination and media, then confirm using the form’s action button. For TikTok in inbox mode, this action sends content to your inbox for you to finish in TikTok.
Scheduled deliveries run in the background. Their timing can be affected by media processing, platform limits or connection problems; inspect Queue for the outcome.
4. Follow delivery in Queue
- Scheduled: the task is waiting for its chosen time.
- Publishing: PostStride is working with TikTok to transfer or process your media.
- Sent to inbox: TikTok has confirmed inbox delivery. Open the TikTok app to continue.
- Needs attention: read the account or upload message before taking another action. If the outcome is unknown, check TikTok before attempting a new upload.
5. Finish inside TikTok
On the same TikTok account, open Inbox and find the uploaded-content notification. Open it to continue TikTok’s editing and posting flow. Review the video or photos, add the video caption and choose the final posting settings in TikTok. You control whether to publish.
Inbox delivery does not create a public post automatically. TikTok also limits pending inbox uploads; avoid sending repeated copies while a previous delivery is still processing.
Manage the connection and your data
Accounts → Disconnect removes the saved PostStride connection and stops pending deliveries to it. For TikTok, separately remove PostStride in TikTok’s app-permission settings to revoke the platform authorization. Content already posted on TikTok stays there.
Read our Privacy Policy, Terms of Service and data-deletion instructions for data use, account deletion, cleanup status and retention details.
